Day 1 - WROXHAM

No early morning start this time, we left home at 10, caught the train via London, and arrived in Norwich at 3:50. We just missed the Wroxham train by 4 minutes, but weren't concerned, as 15 minutes later we were on a bus rushing through the familiar Norfolk countryside. The bus seemed to go all around the houses, but it was a pleasant journey, and we weren't in a hurry. Things started to look familiar, the bus was passing through Salhouse village, then it turned onto Norwich Road and over the bridge, and we knew we were back.
Familiar Sights
The bus dropped us outside Roy's, and we walked through the arcade to the Wroxham Hotel. I have only ever been in the hotel to use their toilets before, so it was nice to actually arrive there as a guest. We were given the Bridge Suite, which had a balcony with a perfect view of the river, and is the nearest balcony room to the bridge. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a large flat screen TV, and most importantly at this point, tea making facilities!

Broad Tours
We popped out at around 8, and headed to the Kings Head, for a lovely carvery meal and desert. It wasn't very busy, so I think we got extra roast meat. We went back to the Hotel, I think there was either a live band on, or it was Karaoke night, as there was an awful racket coming from the bar.
Great Meal at Just £5.95
We sat on the balcony for a while and watched people crossing the bridge, and had a great nights sleep on the huge comfortable bed, looking forward to our week on the water.
